About this mod It is an ambient expansion mod for Half-Life 2 that aims to add various ambient sounds to be lore-friendly and improve some other sounds that are now high quality as they ever be. The goal of this mod is to improve the ambient sounds of Half-Life 2 in order to make the game's environment more realistic and refresh without changing the already good ambient sounds. If you want the alarm loops here What are changes More Soundscapes – Adds additional soundscape sounds to all levels HQ Sounds – Replaces overall high-quality ambient sounds, including birds, sirens, alarms, etc. HL1's New Ambients – Changes the ambient overhaul sounds for HL1 on HL2 City17/Trainstation – Adds the city's strange warbling ambience. Canals – While traveling through the canals below, you'll also hear distant Metrocops running and APCs arresting civilians. Before entering the shanty area, the new "shanty_battle" ambient soundscape lets you hear distant Headcrab shells crashing down and nearby gunfire, hinting at the conflict ahead. Eli's Lab – Added the "eli_battle" ambient soundscape, allowing you to hear Combine forces attacking Black Mesa East in the distance. Ravenholm – Adds new crow ambient sounds, distant town noises, screams, and new creepy tone alley ambience. (Bonus: when entering a wooden room inside, you'll hear "tone_warehouse," which is unused from beta.) Coast – You can now hear distant ichthyosaurs near the oceans. Nova Prospekt – Adds distant turrets and prisoner screams, which makes them more noticeable. Streetwar – Includes new distant dropship, gunship & APC sounds along with plenty of additional city-battle ambience.
