Resources Scale with Heat

I really loved TurboCop's DarknessForHeat mod, so much so in fact that I wanted to apply the concept to all the "meta" resources in the game.

This mod originally started out as an unholy amalgamation of TurboCop's mod and MaddEye's Multiplier Config mod, with me just picking at pieces of their scripts until I was able to learn enough to start poking around in the game's actual scripts to make my own. Huge thanks to both of those mods, because without them it would've been a much rougher process getting here.

It's pretty straightforward: For every X amount of Heat, you gain bonus resources, whether you buy them from Charon, earn them from a chamber reward, earn them from a trove, or get them from Shady. So, for example: for every 8 Heat (by default) you'd get an extra Chthonic Key. You'd get two extra at 16 Heat, three extra at 24, and so on.

You can easily change these default values to suit your taste by opening up the ResourcesScaleWithHeat.lua file found within the folder of the same name. The values you need to edit should be clearly marked. If you don't want a particular resource to scale at all, you can set its value to 0 (or just set it to an impossible-to-obtain Heat level).

By default, resources will display above them in text the bonus amount you're earning through Heat. This can be disabled within the ResourcesScaleWithHeat.lua file as well.

Installation

Requires Mod Importer and ModUtility. Installation instructions for both can be found on their respective Nexus pages.

Go to the "Content" folder of your game's installation, and extract the "ResourcesScaleWithHeat" folder into the "Mods" folder. After that, just run Mod Importer and you're good to go.

Known Issues

-For whatever reason, Darkness given to you by Sisyphus is not affected by this mod, even though the text above it says otherwise... Still trying to figure out the cause of this. Fixed as of 1. 0. 4

Gem rewards from Elite Chambers cause a game crash Fixed as of 1. 0. 4b

There's been reports of some gemstone rewards still not scaling properly. Looking into it.
