📋 About This Mod
A utility for managing and installing audio mods, allowing for mods to be loaded in specific orders and for multiple audio mods to be installed simultaneously.
Audio Manager is a tool for managing the installation and load order of audio replacement mods. It also simplifies the audio mod installation process, using a tool created by Wouldubeinta that allows for Hades sound files to be edited. Existing mods can incorporate Audio Manager by using the Audio Manager format, which simply requires adding a folder to their mods. There should be no compatibility issues with other Hades mods or Mod Importer. This mod doesn't do anything on its own, only when audio mods have been downloaded.
To install Audio Manager, extract the RAR file to Hades\Content. You can then run AudioManager.py.

FMOD Bank Tools was created by Wouldubeinta and all credit goes to them for the creation of this wonderful tool. With their permission, the file has been packaged in this mod.
Requirements:
- This program currently only works on Windows, as FMOD Bank Tools (a third-party app developed for a different game)
is only compatible with Windows at this time.
- You'll need to have Python installed. If you have Mod Importer, you should already have Python.
Mac Users:
- Unfortunately, you won't be able to run FMOD Bank Tools. However, you can still mod your audio, but you can only
install one audio mod at a time and will need to get the sound banks from the modder. The alternative is to install
Bootcamp or a VM. This will work -- I'm running it on Bootcamp.
How to Use:
- Run AudioManager.py.
- If the program is unable to complete a step (ex. if it doesn't have permission to open FMOD Bank Tools for you), follow the provided instructions to manually complete it
Notes:
- You can customise the load order using the LoadOrder.txt file. It's generated the first time
the program is run. Audio mods are loaded in the order listed, so any mods at the bottom will overwrite
the audio from the mods at the top if they replace the same files. Just reorder the lines to fix this.
- Add any new mods to the LoadOrder.txt file to import them. The program will only look for mods listed in that file.
- Audio can currently only be replaced, not added. This may change in the future though.
Uninstall:
- Replaced audio is moved to the AudioManager\Backup folder.
- To uninstall individual audio mods, copy the audio you want to reset to normal to the
AudioManager\Fmod_Bank_Tools\wav\Sounds folder and rebuild using FMOD Bank Tools. Copy the bank file to
Hades\Content\Audio\FMOD\Build\Desktop.
- To uninstall all audio mods, copy the Sounds.bank file from the backup folder to
Hades\Content\Audio\FMOD\Build\Desktop.
For Modders:
- In order to add audio to your mods with this program, audio should be placed in an Audio folder in your mod
folder (ex. Content\Mods\MyMod\Audio). You also need to include an audio.txt file in the folder. The file should be
formatted in the following way (note the lack of spaces between items):
oldAudio1.wav,newAudio1.wav
oldAudio2.wav,newAudio2.wav
oldAudio3.wav,newAudio3.wav
- This program reads each line of the audio.txt file, moving the original audio file to a backup folder, renaming
the new file the same name as the old file, and putting it into the wav\Sounds folder. Users can then
run FMOD Bank Tools to generate their new sound bank file.
- Ensure that audio is a .wav file.
- To view the sounds that can be replaced, extract the sounds bank and look through the wav files. The files are
linked to event cues that the game plays. I don't know a good way to find event cues without looking through the
scripts or playing the game. Cues sometimes match with actual file names and sometimes don't, so trial and error
is a good strategy. The in-game debug menu can help identify cues.
- The event cues often modify sounds, changing their pitch/tone/volume/etc. Ex. Hades_0076.wav is played by two event
cues, /VO/HadesLaughSingle and /VO/HadesLaughMenu. The first one just plays once, while the second plays on a loop.
