GTA V - Addon Vehicle Installer Guide

Description:

This tool allows you to easily and quickly install an addon vehicle mod into GTA V. This guide provides step-by-step instructions to ensure seamless installation.

Instructions:

1. Download OpenIV: Obtain OpenIV, a crucial tool for extracting necessary game files.

2. Extract Files: Use OpenIV to extract DLClist.xml and ExtraTitleUpdatedata.meta from update.rpf. Refer to the provided paths:

- With Mods Folder:

Grand Theft Auto V\mods\update\update.rpf\common\data

- Without Mods Folder:

Grand Theft Auto V\update\update.rpf\common\data

3. Store Files: Save the extracted files in a designated folder on your PC.

4. Download Vehicle Mods: Explore vehicle mods on Nexusmods or on GTA5-Mods. Note: Not all mods are compatible. Ensure the zipped layout matches the provided example inside the mod folder.

EXAMPLE -- bugatti.zip\bugatti\dlc.rpf

The folder containing the dlc.rpf file MUST have the same name as the vehicle name in the mods README See below for an example of a mods README.

5. Read Vehicle Mod Readme: Review the vehicle mod's readme to find out whether you need to include the extratitleupdatedata.meta file.

Example from README:

6. Use Addon Vehicle Installer: Launch the GTA V - Addon Vehicle Installer and provide the necessary files:

- GTA V directory

- Vehicle mod's zip file location

- Location of DLCList.xml  (extracted in step 2)

- Location of ExtraTitleUpdatedata.meta  (extracted in step 2) (IF VEHICLE MOD REQUIRES IT)

- Check the "Using Mods Folder?" checkbox if using mods folder.

7. Optional: Save Configuration: Save the configuration for future use by clicking the save button in the application.

8. Install Vehicle: Execute the installation process by pressing the INSTALL button.

9. Reimport Modified Files: After installation, reimport the modified DLClist.xml and ExtraTitleUpdatedata.meta files using OpenIV.

10. Test Installation: Launch GTA V and ensure the vehicle is successfully installed. I use the addon car spawner for convenience.
