What this is

Grounded UE4SS Runtime is a standalone mod framework and runtime package for Grounded on Steam and Game Pass PC.

It is meant for mods that require UE4SS to work. UE4SS is a scripting and modding backend for Unreal Engine games. It gives other mods a way to interact with game systems at runtime through Lua scripts, C++ mods, property access, hooks, SDK generation, and related tools.

Installing this package by itself will not add new content, change gameplay, or show visible features on its own. It exists so other UE4SS-based Grounded mods can run correctly.

What this package fixes

Recent newer UE4SS builds for Grounded could enter a broken startup state where:

• []a new save could start in spectator/ghost mode with no proper player pawn[/]

  []some loads could fail into a bad startup state instead of spawning the player normally[/]

What that means in practice:

  []end users do not need to enable a special option in an ini file[/]

  []it does not use a crude delay, forced fake spawn, or a “make a save first without UE4SS” workaround[/]

  []it only applies during the specific Grounded startup window where the game would otherwise get stuck[/]

  []once the player is spawned correctly, the compatibility behavior stops interfering[/]

What is changed from standard UE4SS

This package is based on RE-UE4SS v3. 0. 1, with Grounded-specific compatibility changes and safer default settings.

Default technical changes include:

  These defaults are intended to reduce startup problems and keep the runtime stable for Grounded.

  This package does not:
