Warriors from Hell

8 hours gameplay, 500+ monsters to fight - see the topic http://www.grimrock.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=6250

The story begins, upon your arrival at 'Warriors Dungeons' the four of you have been placed in a cell. Strangely, the cell has an open doorway straight ahead and a closed wooden door to your left, which can be opened by pulling a door chain.

You notice that a number of soldiers are stationed beyond the open doorway, but they do not move, they simply stand there, as if awaiting your move.

The challenge seems to be - move forward into the jaws of the awaiting soldiers or open the wooden door and go left, which do you do?

The game starts with immediate interaction between your party and lethal forces. At this stage - your party is unarmed, unarmoured and has little fight in it. Tangling with soldiers now would be suicide! So what to do? Can a strategy be employed instead? This is step 1 in a quest to move on and up the ghastly dungeons, to greener pastures and then finally, holy sunlight! = = = = = = = =
