Pet Patch

Hello, as a player I always pick the pet-class first regardless of game. With Grim Dawn I wanted more "pets" while I lazy back and enjoy the show. This mod might look simple at first but was actually very hard to put together. Please see the details near the bottom of this page.

2026-08-09: I now have two versions of the mod. A safe "legacy" version and a expanded way more interesting "Avalonica" version.

Critical Information

Be aware that any item that have bonus "Lives for +X Seconds" for Manticore (Shaman), Unstable Anomaly and Reap Spirit (Necromancer) will when equipped temporary force these summons back to a "timed state". The only way to revert this is to unequip said item and simply use something else in that slot.

Specific Game, Player and Class Changes

For most people the "Legacy" version will be enough, but if you want more bells and whistles you should go with the "Avalonica" version. All my "Pet Patch" mods are interchangeable, so when the game is off feel free to test another version. Also please don't forget that all these mods are balanced to be played on Ultimate/Ascendant Mode.

• []Whenever suitable, the distracting graphical permanent loop effects have been disabled on permanent and long time buffs. All items are however left untouched. Side-note: I have had this exact problem before with Baldur's Gate 3 and I had to make a mod called "No more looping VFX and SFX on buffs" to fix their mess. With 34,928+ total downloads it's quite clear that I am onto something! I see no reason why developers can't code in a damn "Looping GFX and SFX on/off" toggle! :)[/]

  []The timer in Shattered Realms are now essentially infinite by making each kill give 17+ seconds, elites 200 and bosses 500. All traps are also removed to make things more fair. Please do note that since we are handling positive time here, the timer will reset when you reach the maximum time gained, but don't worry as it will always give you enough time to do the cycle again.   []Optional files - No annoying Raven Looping Wing Flap Sound. This is a optional stand-alone mod that you extract into your game root folder (example: D:\Games\Grim Dawn). You should now see a a folder called "settings". Now the raven's will flap their cursed wings in BLESSED SILENCE! Since Pet Patch lets the Occultist have more than one raven you can guess what happens when a lot of raven's do a collective looping wing flap without this quality of life mod I made :([/]

  []Optional files - Enemy Multiplier Scaling x2 and x4. Multiplies enemies with scaling to player level. Can only be used safely by level 50 characters or higher when playing Ultimate/Ascendant Mode.
