Decoupled head tracking for Green Hell using any OpenTrack-compatible tracker - webcam, phone app, or dedicated

Installation

1. Install (https://github.com/LavaGang/MelonLoader/releases) v0. 6. 1 or later

2. Launch Green Hell once to initialize MelonLoader, then close the game

3. Extract this mod's ZIP into your Green Hell game folder (the folder containing `GH.exe`)

Setting Up a Tracker

Using OpenTrack (PC webcam):

- Download and install (https://github.com/opentrack/opentrack)

- Set Input to "neuralnet tracker" (webcam) or your preferred source

- Set Output to UDP over network - Host:`127. 0. 0. 1`, Port: `4242`

- Click Start, then launch the game

Using a phone app:

- Install an OpenTrack-compatible head tracking app on your phone

- Set it to send to your PC's IP address (run `ipconfig` to find it) on port `4242`

- Start tracking on the phone, then launch the game

The mod includes built-in smoothing for network jitter, so phone apps can (if they send a clean enough signal) send directly to port 4242 without needing OpenTrack on PC. If you want curve mapping or extra filtering, route through OpenTrack instead (set OpenTrack input to a different port like 5252, output to `127. 0. 0. 1:4242`, and send from your phone to 5252).

Troubleshooting

Mod not loading

- Make sure you ran the game once after installing MelonLoader to initialize it

- Verify `version.dll` exists in the Green Hell game folder

- Verify all mod DLLs are in the `Mods` folder

- Check `<Green Hell>/MelonLoader/Logs/` for errors

No tracking response

- Make sure your tracker is running and outputting data to `127. 0. 0. 1:4242`

- Press End to toggle tracking on

- Check the MelonLoader console for error messages

Camera jittering

- Increase filtering in your tracker software

- Improve lighting for webcam-based tracking

Uninstalling

Delete from `<Green Hell>/Mods/`:

- `GreenHellHeadTracking.dll`

- `CameraUnlock. Core.dll`

- `CameraUnlock. Core. Unity.dll`

- `CameraUnlock. Core. Unity. Harmony.dll`

To remove all mods, also delete the `MelonLoader` folder and `version.dll` from the game root, then verify game files

through Steam.
