BetterLive - Language

JSON-based localization and active language selection for BetterLive modules.

Description

BetterLive - Language is a BetterLive module for Green Hell.

This module adds localization support for the BetterLive system.

It loads translations from a JSON file and allows the user to select the active language used by BetterLive menus, module names, module descriptions and supported UI texts.

Polish remains the internal fallback language. If a translation key is missing from the selected language, BetterLive can fall back to the original Polish source text.

  Supported Languages

  Built-in / default language support includes:

  • []pl - Polish fallback / source language.[/]

    []en - English.[/]

    []es - Spanish.[/]

    []zh - Chinese.[/]

    Note: Polish is used as the source fallback. It may not appear as a normal language object inside the JSON file because missing keys can fall back to the in-source Polish text.

    Configuration

    The module creates its own configuration file:

    BepInEx/config/BetterLive/Language.cfg

    Main configuration options include:

    • []Enabled - enables or disables BetterLive localization.[/]

      []Language - active language code, for example en, es, zh or pl.[/]

      The translation file is created here:

      BepInEx/config/BetterLive/BetterLive.localization.json

      You can add a custom language by editing the JSON file and adding a new entry inside the top-level languages object.

      After editing the configuration or localization JSON file, restart the game or reload BetterLive configs if available.

      Installation

      1. Install BepInEx for Green Hell.

      2. Install BetterLive Hub.

      3. Extract this archive into your Green Hell game folder.

      The file should end up here:

      Green Hell/

      └── BepInEx/

      └── plugins/

      └── BetterLive/

      └── BetterLive. Module. Language.dll

      4. Start the game.

      5. Check the BepInEx console or log file to confirm that the module loaded correctly.

      6. Edit Language.cfg or BetterLive.localization.json if you want to change or customize the language.

        Compatibility

        This module affects BetterLive localization, menu text and module description text.

        Compatibility issues are most likely if another mod changes the same BetterLive localization system, config loading behavior or BetterLive menu text handling.

        This module is experimental and still in development.

        Some translation keys may be missing, incomplete or require corrections depending on the installed BetterLive modules.
