Keth's Nakajima A2N Fighter

The Nakajima A2N was a Japanese Biplane, also known as the Navy Type 90 Carrier-based fighter, and was used aboard the Hōshō, Kaga and Ryūjō carriers in the 1930s. Armament 2x 7. 7mm Type 97 machine guns firing through the prop. (I have installed custom cannons instead of the autocannons i originally intended as the AI cannot aim them sufficiently well to ever fire them!) Current Status: Despite being extremely stable in flight and very agile when player controlled, the AI has tremendous trouble aiming the weaponry and so currently this model is rather ineffective as a fighter, but it looks really nice and getting the weapons to fire throught the propeller was enough od an achievement to warrant posting the design! As with the B2M1, the in game mechanics for propellers is completely inadequate for powering a realistic plane, so jets have been positioned in the most discreet spots to look like engine exhausts etc. If/when props are viable I will rework the model to use prop only. Rising Sun Pack: This is the fifth vehicle to be added to a collection of Japanese historical models for use in the main campaign. The vehicles in the series will increase in material cost and capability along a time line spanning from the 1920s upto modern day allowing them to be used throughout the campaign as resources become available. I intend to have a complete set of early, mid and late game vehicles supported by a carrier, including light and heavy bombers, fighters, destroyers, patrol boats and other support craft.
