Improved FA-18F Super Hornet

If you enjoyed the first F-18, then you'll love this one. She is now a superb ground attack aircraft, as well as fighter. There are two major enhancements, the first is an improved sensor suite talking to a laser designation system, which allows you to track ground targets on the lighting POD and absolutely pummel ground targets with large laser guided GPU munitions. The second is a completely redesigned engine, which gives the aircraft far more power, range and performance at attitude. This F-18 can approach speeds of 190 m/s at 500 meters alt, and can rocket up to 3000 meters and still cruise at 120 m/s. We wanted you to be able to climb and maneuver at altitudes beyond 1000 meters, so you now have an array of hidden ion thrusters drawing energy from the main engines. This version also offers some other enhancements: - IR sensor suite assesses from bottom of aircraft to ground for more accurate targeting to lighting POD. - Engine Power indicator on lower left display in cockpit, left is your main burners, right is your afterburner power. - x2 blocks wider wheel base rear landing gear (we had complaints of many crash landings due to tipping). This wider wheel bases rectifies this and also gives you more spring cushion for you carrier landings (or just hard landings) ... it also looks more realistic, with careful detail paid to what actual F-18 gear looks like. - Tighter turning, banking and faster rolls (you can now out maneuver the missiles form a Falcon) in a dog fight. - More maneuverable AMRAMS, with about 3km of range. - A cooler looking ejection seat (unfortunately it doesn't eject, but we're working on that). - More realistic looking flaps - Maverick and Goose titled seats - Fuel engine removed from the front of the aircraft in place of main engine power converters, giving more pitch balance.
