Foxhole Performance Fixes

What does it do?This does not give you a competitive advantage in any way, it's about changing the rendering logic for the stuff you can see, not increasing your view distance or anything like that. A brief explanation is basically the LOD has a scale setting, and values less than 1 will make higher detail LOD load farther away, and the inverse for values higher than 1. Foxhole has this set to default 0. 5, basically a band-aid fix for a not great LOD setup to try to avoid assets popping in when they entire your culling circle.

; For LOD Distance scales, If you set this to 0. 5, the engine thinks you are half the distance (very close), so it forces the high-quality LOD. This is usesful for our game and is required so that LODS do not just pop in the corners of the screen constantly

This was left in the configuration files, I haven't noticed any sudden asset loading, and if there is it's a solid trade off for better frontline frames.

What does the optional file do?

It includes the LOD performance fixes alongside optional tweaks that I play with on a daily. No more motion blur, vignetting, bloom, lens flare, basically all the benefits of running a low Post Processing setting while still having the game look good. The tweaks apply to the Ultra option in Post Processing.

How do I install it?

Read the readme.txt, and you can only choose one file to install, either the LOD fixes only or the better shadows and LOD fixes.

Does it actually work?

Based on the people I gave this to for testing, it seems to give a performance increase and reduce stutters, install ReShade and use the included frame counter if you're curious for measuring, let me know how it feels as well. After about a war of this being used by a bunch of people, I've heard pretty much nothing but good things except for some few people who don't notice a difference.
