Real Life Reshade

Description

Here is my custom reshade for HDR users looking to make their Forza Horizon 6 look realistic while being visually drawdropping. If you want colorful and beautiful, you have come to the right place. This game is very frustrating to deal with when it comes to installing reshade due to admin restrictions. I will post a video about how to do it on my secondary youtube channel at some point  (youtube.com/@prestondoestutorials476) , or you can follow the text guide in the installation instructions below. If you already have reshade installed to the game, you don't need to watch the video. Make sure you have HDR enabled in-game with the default white point/saturation settings set for the best results.

Installation instructions

Simply extract the reshade .ini file that you downloaded from me and put it into your FH6 main directory. Then select the .ini in the drop down menu at the top of your reshade menu in game; Click select, then wait for it to load and you are all set!

I recommend setting your Nvidia color on your monitor to the settings shown in media for optimal colors.

If you DO NOT have Reshade installed:

This process is different than installing any other reshade due to admin restrictions on the game files. You must open the reshade setup exe via WinRar and extract ONLY the file that says "Reshade64.dll" to your desktop and then rename it to "dxgi.dll". Then, create a new folder on your desktop and within that folder, create a text document file and rename it to "forzahorizon6.exe" without the quotation marks. If you did it correctly, it should be labeled as an application now instead of a txt file. Next, use the rehsadesetup and install reshade onto that newly created exe file you made in the folder. Once that is completed, drag and drop all the files that reshade put into that folder aside from the exe you created, and drag and drop them into your actual forza directory. Finally, once you have done that, drag and drop the dxgi.dll file you put on your desktop into your forza main directory as well. It should ask if you want to replace the file. Click yes. You are all done installing reshade into Forza and you should see the reshade menu loading upon launching the game!
