In 1995, McLaren did something nobody expected. The F1 GTR, a race car built from a road car, won Le Mans outright against purpose-built prototypes that existed for exactly that job and nothing else. McLaren never planned to build the F1 to go racing. It went anyway, and it won.

The F1 LM exists because of that win. Named for Le Mans, it's the road-going tribute to the GTR that beat cars it was never supposed to be able to beat. McLaren built six. One prototype, five customer cars. That's it. That's the entire production run of one of the rarest cars the brand has ever made.

Underneath the Papaya Orange paint, a deliberate nod to Bruce McLaren's original Can-Am racing colour, sits the same BMW-sourced V12 from the '95 GTR, freed from the race series' restrictors and putting out 671 horsepower. McLaren shed 76kg versus the standard road car by stripping the interior, deleting the audio system and noise suppression, and swapping in wider magnesium wheels and bigger brakes. In place of the road car's small dynamic wing sits a considerably larger, fixed carbon-fiber rear wing, functional, not decorative.

This conversion brings that car into Forza with a custom interior built to match the LM's stripped, purposeful cabin.
