Fronts Fronts is a global mod that completely overhauls the game's gameplay. It adds numerous new mechanics, a rebalanced economy, and a unique system of protocols and active abilities. You take your initial protocol. Build the arsenal and ammunition storage. Produce shells and prepare your artillery. Set up oil extraction. Craft more advanced ammunition. Unlock subsequent protocols. Each protocol changes the gameplay in its own unique way. Protocols Protocols are sets of passive and active upgrades that significantly alter gameplay in real-time during the match. Taking a protocol unlocks the next ones (up and to the right; directions are indicated by arrows on the UI). Protocols are acquired using protocol points, which are awarded every 4 minutes of playtime (the interval decreases with Stress). Each commander belongs to a specific faction, which determines their starting protocol. Some commanders also have modified starting protocols. Protocols are unique to each player. Active Abilities Some protocols grant active abilities. These can deal damage, provide defense, boost economy, or even unleash superweapons. Economy The mod features a completely reworked economy system. Metal – the primary resource. About 90% of all content is crafted from it. It is extracted by drills from ore veins, delivered by drones to supply depots, and can also be obtained through market trading. Oil. Extracted by oil derricks, stored in tanks, and is highly explosive. It is used to craft all explosive shells and missiles, and is also a component in producing plastic. Energy.
