Copacabana

Vaguely inspired on the fort named after and located in the district of Copacabana, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Designed for 8 players with triple redundant beds and 7 individually compartmentalized storage rooms, This base is suitable for a large group of players. Much thicker than it is tall, This base is very unusual in its design compared to the current base building paradigm. While building tall may allow the defender's explosives to damage raiders even with near misses, Building low to the ground allows defenders to use choke-points which limits any raiders group size advantage. Built low enough to almost completely hide behind external high walls, Any attack on the base from ground level will have little to target. The 2 armored tier "turrets" allow defenders to clear their roof and attack targets at long range while under dense cover. Armored windows in front of the embrasures allows defenders to occupy the turrets even if they're under heavy fire. Any breach in surrounding high external walls or metal barricades become choke-points easily defended from within the base's outer shooting gallery. When raiders blow past the outer layers into the base proper, Raiders will find an internal hallway which acts as another choke-point where defenders can shoot at them from behind armor door hatches or embrasure windows. Raiders attacking from above are forced to either build a raid tower or fight from higher ground, A raid tower confines raiders into an easily targeted space while attacking from higher ground eventually exposes raiders to near hits from the defender's explosives as they move downhill. Furthermore it is more expensive to pierce each storage room through the compartmentalized roof than through the doors once the the internal hallway has been breached. An armored tier "gun pit" on the top of the base keeps the SAM Site on top of the base protected from gunfire and explosives while enabling defenders to repair, replace, and rearm the SAM site while under cov
