Regelbau Base

A small solo/duo base that is easily defended from the inside while being 4 doors or 2 walls to lootroom, Lootroom double doors also serve as a 2nd airlock. Costing only 13k stone this base is hyper efficient in all aspects. 2 fighting positions covering the entrance provide excellent cover over raiders while funneling them into a choke point limiting the advantage of numbers. The triangle fighting position can't be exploited by raiders to see around the corner, The square fighting position is hard to use as a solo if you don't build a wall that makes the entrance a blind corner (3rd screenshot). All fighting positions benefit heavily from reinforced window bars combined with vertical embrasures. Wooden signs painted with a red and black stripe allows players to camouflage their head while wearing a heavy armor helmet, The choke points eliminate the disadvantage of restricted vision while wearing a heavy helmet. With the building 3. 0 update making metal and armored walls far stronger then even armored doors, This base is even better then it was prior due to raiders always going for the doors. Is built off a roofed 2x1 allowing for rapid placement. 2/9/18 Recently I have adjusted the placement and arrangement of items to more accurately reflect what can actually be done in game, outside viewing windows were replaced with walls, and an embrasure was changed. I Also included a version of the base with additional roof space, a version with a large furnace, and depicted a cheaper way of honeycombing the lootroom at the cost allowing anyone to access your roof.
