FFX PS2 UI Overhaul

Description

This mod overhauls the User Interface to more closely resemble the original PlayStation 2 version. Menus, fonts and Icons have been recreated.

The goal was to resemble the original PS2 UI design as closely as possible.

Some creative liberties had to be taken in certain instances since the HD remaster has changed the menu design due to the HD format.

You may also notice certain submenus may still have the HD remaster gradient clean look. Unfortunately the HD remaster handles these menus using vertex math, a simple texture replacement isn't possible. Despite this, nearly everything else is overhauled!

This mod is mostly for the english language at this time.

It is very possible something was missed or may need tweaking. Please let me know!

I had the idea to overhaul the menu design since the HD remaster released but didn't really take it seriously until around 2021.

I finally had the time and motivation to finish what I started and get this released.

I cannot believe it's been 25 years since the ps2 release, time really flies.

Installation instructions

Installing the mod is as simple as placing the .dds textures inside the "..\UnX_Res\inject\textures\" folder that is inside the "FINAL FANTASY FFX&FFX-2 HD Remaster" game directory.

*optional "Final Fantasy X Project" is a seperate download that should be placed into the "..\UnX_Res\" folder overwriting any "Title.dds" that is currently there.

Requirements

1. You need "Untitled Project X"
