P. S - The translucent version may have a dithering effect with certain graphical settings
This mod replaces the Buster Sword, Hardedge, Twin Stinger, or Mythril Saber with the Ultima Weapon from Final Fantasy VII, offering both the Dissidia design and a modified translucent blade with a glowing center that changes color based on the materia in the first slot. It's a cosmetic weapon replacer for players who want a classic, iconic look.
✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Community-approved with 447 endorsements and over 10k downloads.
- Offers two visual variants, giving you options for your preferred look.
- The materia-reactive glow is a cool touch that ties into FF7's mechanics.
⚠️ Cons
- Only affects four specific weapons, so if you don't use those, it's useless.
- Last updated in 2022, so it might not be compatible with the latest game patches.
- Potential conflicts with other weapon retexture mods that touch the same weapons.
For Final Fantasy VII fans who want to wield the iconic Ultima Weapon instead of the default swords. It's purely cosmetic, so skip if you're looking for gameplay changes or new weapons.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Make sure to back up your original weapon files before replacing them, just in case.
- If you're using a mod manager, install this mod last to avoid overwriting conflicts.
- Test the materia glow by equipping different materia in the first slot to see the color change.
