The Chocoboutique: Chocobo Colors

Ride the rainbow.

All colors are available for all region chocobos at the individual level, so you can mix and match colors across different regions to your own tastes.

Even with the tools I built to help me tackle a project of this scale, this took a very long time. I don't have the energy to take 240 more screenshots to show EVERY color on EVERY chocobo, but they should all wark fine.

Let me know if you encounter a broken color/birb combination

~~How to pick colors~~

The file downloads are ordered thusly:

Region - Color Family - Color Sorting Code - Color Name

For example: Cosmo - Green - Ga3 - Brunswick

1. Reference the COLOR SORTING CODE (Bi2, Ga3, etc) or the COLOR NAME

(ie Blueberry, not Blue)

in the SCREENSHOT DESCRIPTIONS for the colors you're interested in:

2. CTRL+F for that code/color name on the FILES

tab to find the corresponding file for whatever region's birbs you want the color on.

3. Drop em in the ~mods folder, or use your favorite mod manager.

In case the region prefixes aren't obvious enough... (they really are obvious)

Grass: Grasslands Region (Standard Chocobo)

Junon: Junon Region (Mountain Chocobo)

Corel: Corel Region - Costa Del Sol Area

Gongaga: Gongaga Region (Forest Chocobo)

Cosmo: Cosmo Canyon Region (Sky Chocobo)

Nibel: Nibel Region (Ocean Chocobo)

Fun fact: Each color subfamily has 4 colors of decreasing brightness based on the hue and saturation of the first color in the subfamily.
