📋 About This Mod
I was thinking about Rebirth's ending one day and had a weird idea. I now present said idea. This is a mod that replaces Aerith and her Costa del Sol variants with Jenova as seen in the Nibelheim flashback. Aerith's clothing textures have
Update: I've uploaded an optional add-on that has Jenova replacing Aerith in every in-game cutscene.
Also, there has been a v002 update to the main file that tweaks the hair (see changelog).
Installation: Extract the .pak, .utoc and .ucas files into your SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\FINAL FANTASY VII REBIRTH\End\Content\Paks\~mods directory.
Create the '~mods' folder if it doesn't exist.
The main file uses pak chunk 202, and 203 for the cutscenes add-on.
Some process info for those interested: The actual Jenova Nibelheim asset doesn't have a usable model for a straight re-rig/conversion. Also, the textures aren't as complete as the hero character assets. So, I reworked Tifa's head mesh to fit the original's head, and did manual patching/refinement of the skin and head textures using Mari. The only things untouched from the original asset are Jenova's helmet, eyes and hair.
