📋 About This Mod

Original Limit Break sfx for mod Cosmo Memory by Bonez.

While i really enjoy the sfx mod Cosmo Memory by Bonez I disliked the sfx used for the Limit Breaks.

As such I tried to found a way to replace it for the original sfx without removing the mod, as it is very good.

If you have any problems, do not bother Bonez. Any modifications are made locally by the user and are not their responsability.

Installation

First you need to have 7th Heaven installed/configured (i use the 2013 version of FF7) and have the Cosmo Memory mod installed in it.

After that go to the mod folder for 7th Heaven and copy the .iro file of the mod to a place you like.

Then go to 7th Heaven, Tools, IRO Tools and Unpack IRO. Choose the .iro file we copied, an output folder of your choosing and click unpack.

After this there are two methods i found (I am not a modder and as such do not know any other ways).

- Replace the sound effect with the one in this mod. In this case, just download it, unpack it in the output folder and let replace.

- Remove the sound effect (go to Base/sfx folder, and delete file 6450.oog) and dont replace with anything. The game will use its own sound effect.

I personally choose the second method, despite the replacement being higher quality than the one in game, becouse i was having inconsistent delays in the sound. So you can say this is more of a guide than a mod per se.

After this go to 7th Heaven again, Tools, IRO Tools, Pack IRO, choose 'source folder' as the output folder and in 'save as iro' save the file in the mod folder for 7th Heaven (put as the file/iro name the name of the original mod and let replace).

I would advise to have AutoUpdating mods turned off, or else you might have to repeat this process if the Cosmo Memory mod is updated.

Requirements

As it says in the title, this 'patch' requires the Cosmo Memory mod.

Cosmo Memory: https://www.nexusmods.com/finalfantasy7/mods/37

Bonez: https://www.nexusmods.com/profile/wturner859

As such, it also requires the 7th Heaven mod manager and FFNx.
