The next Pixel Redefined mod (Beta) is here!
These mods will provide rebalancing of nearly all gameplay elements in addition to providing postgame content.
Changes to vanilla include:
New Monsters! Over 450 new random encounters and new bosses are scattered around the World of Ruin and Balance, most with accompanying music from their game. These new encounters are challenging and include many superbosses from across the Final Fantasy series!
New Equipment! Enjoy over 800 new weapons that can be dropped randomly or stolen from the many new monsters and old enemies! Each weapon in the game now triggers an added attack, increasing the viability of random attacks throughout the game.
New Bonus Dungeon! A new, long dungeon called the Shrine of Memories awaits you in the World of Ruin. Containing all missable random encounters through its 100+ floors, as well as all GBA extra monsters and many new bosses, this dungeon includes rematches against the game's bosses and more! Can you defeat the monsters lying in the deepest parts of the dungeon?
New System! As you travel, collect "trophy items" that allow you to summon allies to fight alongside you! These allies attack, heal, and aid you in combat! With over 450 new allies to recruit, can you collect them all?
New Difficulty! With new tools comes a new difficulty balance! Still in the works, this adjustment to difficulty should challenge any seasoned player of FFVI! Though it might be challenging for newcomers, the new weapons and system increases the party's power overall, giving everyone a chance to win!
New Allies: Biggs, Wedge, Banon, and the Ghost enjoy expanded access in this mod, never leaving your party permanently (unless the Ghost dies). These old temporary allies have expanded commands and very powerful equipment, allowing them to contribute all the way up through endgame!
Updates will include:
Bestiary: as of now, expanding the bestiary seems to crash the game.
Expanded Story Lore: more NPCs will be added, including tutorial NPCs to explain new systems.
Temporary Ally Recruitment in World of Ruin: as of now, Biggs, Wedge, Banon, and the Ghost are pushed out of your party in the World of Ruin and even Balance as your party roster grows. More efforts will be made to grant them continued access in the future.
Expanded Language Options: as of initial release, English and Japanese are supported by this mod. Other languages will be added in the future, and the Japanese translation will be fine-tuned.
Readme: a more extended description of additions and changes will be provided.
