📋 About This Mod

This is a mod that makes the scene where Magitek Armor walks through the snowfield in FF6 OP closer to the original.

The scene in FF6PR OP where Magitek Armor walks across the snowfield is more awkward than the original.

So It's not perfect, but I tried to make it as close to the original as possible.

  • []Changed the Magitek Armor animation settings and modified the sprites accordingly.[/]

[]Changed the layout of the entire scene.[/]

    []Adjusted the fade-out timing.[/]

There is also one minor bug in Vanilla FF6PR.

Depending on where you skip the OP scene, the layout of the snowfield scene will be broken.

This mod fixes that as well.

(It's difficult to explain in detail here, so if you want to know more about this, please join the Moogles and Mods Discord server and ask @gvdn)

This Mod requires Magicite to be installed.

    • []First, download and extract UnityPlayer CRC check Bypass. Overwrite UnityPlayer.dll in the game's main folder.(You will need the latest version. Older versions will not work)[/]

[]Then, download BepInEx and extract it to the same folder as the game's main exe file.(If you have installed an older version of BepInEx, delete the “mono” folder. Then install the new version of BepInEx)[/]

[]Then, download Magicite and extract it to the same folder as the game's exe file.[/]

Create a "Magicite" folder in the following location:

FINAL FANTASY VI PR\FINAL FANTASY VI_Data\StreamingAssets

Next, unzip the downloaded mod inside this Magicite folder.

(The final folder structure will look like this. \StreamingAssets\Magicite\00_OP_Magitek Armor)

Finally, please make changes to the snow effect bundle. The following files are included in the zip file.

      ef_ff6_e_014_assets_all_b2e3a9b0fb3c780ad83b8ff0ee3ed410.bundle

Replace this with the file of the same name located in the following location. Please back it up if necessary.

      \FINAL FANTASY VI PR\FINAL FANTASY VI_Data\StreamingAssets\aa\StandaloneWindows64

      Done!

      Add_Sakaguchi

This mod adds “Hironobu Sakaguchi” to the end of the credits.

To install, place it in the Magicite folder, just like the main Mod.

I have fixed a bug where "viewing the opening cutscene causes the world map to zoom out."

(This was a bug present in the Vanilla)

Please refer to "POSTS" for details. I thank amauran0 for reporting this issue.

Installing this font will make the opening credits look much more like the SNES version. I highly recommend it.
