📋 About This Mod

I think it's very unfortunate that SE didn't bother adding such a basic feature and thought some of you might enjoy this like me. It will not get rid of the entire HUD, but the biggest HUD elements in common and combat can be hidden.

Most screenshots were taken without Clean HUD, to highlight what is being done here. Make sure to install Clean HUD for the best experience.

Update:

I made some changes in the packaging so it hopefully becomes easier to install and adjust(See bottom)

The new base file also includes  Hide Local Map and Chocobo (Hold) Icons and Text. No separate installation needed.

Installation:

Download the desired mod(s) and drop them into Reloaded 2 Mod Manager and enable the ones you want.

You can freely choose the HUD elements you want to hide.

Open Reloaded 2 -> Right click on the Mod/Select Mod -> Open Folder ->  Look at the screenshots and the description below and delete folders or files of the HUD elements you still want to see. By deleting the file or folders, the HUD element that was hidden will be displayed again. Look at the screenshots for a comparison.

As it might be too much of a hassle, I made a "light" option with just a few hidden elements. It does not hide anything of significance and might improve your immersion.

Load Order:

  • []Clean HUD[/]

[]Hide various HUD elements (Modular) Base OR Hide various HUD elements (Modular) Light [/]

[]Hide various HUD elements (Modular) Alternative[/]

The Base version is best suited for immersion seekers or screenshots and videos.

    Compatilibty Clean HUD:

Clean HUD has only one conflicting file, which is ennameplate, so:

    • []Load Clean HUD after the Base version: No visible enemy names/HP + visible Bezier Curve[/]

[]Load Clean HUD before the Base version: No visible enemy names/HP + no Bezier curve[/]

[]Load Clean HUD before the Light/Alternative version: Visible enemy names/HP + no Bezier curve[/]

      Hide various HUD elements light:

Hides only a few nitpicks for those who don't want to tinker with the folders and files:

      • []FFXVI\data\UI\announce\battle_announce\battle_announce.uib

-> Notification about the objective in the screen center when you enter a fight [/]

        []FFXVI\data\UI\gameflow\battle_result

-> Removes the popup on the right side of the earned gil/exp after battles (sound still plays - see flaws below)[/]

        []FFXVI\data\UI\gameflow\result

-> addition to the file battle_result above when you finish a quest. this is for a "cleaner" image (keep/delete always both - see flaws below)[/]

        []FFXVI\data\UI\hud\emnameplate

-> Hides the Bezier curve(indicator for enemies and their HP outside of your vision)[/]

        []FFXVI\data\UI\hud\pcparam\pcparam_e.uib

-> LVL/EXP indicator and equipped easy game accessoires above HP[/]

        []FFXVI\data\UI\hud\target_marker

-> Yellow circle when you focus on enemies[/]

        []FFXVI\data\UI\hud\touch_access

-> Route indicator for (not so) small paths and which buttons to press on gates etc. [/]

Main File - Hide various HUD elements Base:

      • []FFXVI\data\UI\announce\battle_announce\texture (alternative version available)

-> Hides the green exclamation mark icon[/]

        []FFXVI\data\UI\announce\battle_announce\battle_announce.uib

-> Notificiation about the quest objective in the screens center when you enter a fight e.g.[/]

        • []FFXVI\data\ui\common\help_button_guide\help_button_guide02.uib

-> Hides the Local Map and Chocobo Icon on the right bottom side and also button guides for Chocobo controls, Replay Menu, Eiken Fight button e.g.[/]

          []FFXVI\data\UI\gameflow\battle_result

-> Removes the popup on the right side of the earned gil/exp after battles (sound still plays - see flaws below) [/]

          [*]FFXVI\data\UI\gameflow\result

-> addition to the file battle_result above when you finish a quest. this is for
