Final Fantasy XVI Logos Retranslated

Description

Love the English Dub of XVI but found that the game has some odd plot choices? Find that the writing kinda falls off post Dominion into act 3? Well, this wasn't a writing gap from the original team. It was an issue that arose with the localization of XVI, which has cut quite a few plot points and themes from the original script as well as altered characterization of some of the major figures within the story. Logos retranslated seeks to find a middle ground. To preserve as much of the vibe of the English-translated script as possible while restoring the cut plot points/themes and characterization where applicable to the script to achieve a more faithful depiction of the original intent. At the same time, also looking to best respect what the localization team went for in our markets.

Requirements

Ensure you have downloaded Reloaded-II: https://github.com/Reloaded-Project/Reloaded-II as well as Faith Framework: https://www.nexusmods.com/finalfantasy16/mods/138 and Final Fantasy XVI Mod Loader: https://www.nexusmods.com/finalfantasy16/mods/3.

Installation instructions

Just download the zip and place it within the mod manager. It's highly recommended to start the game at the main menu with the Japanese dub and English subs, as the mod alters the subtitles that appear throughout the game. Be sure to launch from the Reloaded II launcher

Main features

Retranslated the main journey, as well as some alterations to the Echoes of the Fallen and the Rising Tide. Care was given to align the script to the original Japanese intent while preserving the vibe of the dub wherever possible. Please note that the Tomes and the ATL has not been touched by this mod. Just dialogue where applicable.
