DMC-Like Combo Counter And Style Gauge

Combo/Style Meter:

This mod adds a DMC-inspired combo counter, with a style rank gauge allowing you to climb several levels of "style" until you reach a max level, which gives Clive several buffs

How does it work?

• []Hitting enemies will increase your combo counter. Getting hit or not hitting an enemy for too long will reset it back to 0.

  []Hitting enemies, parrying, perfectly dodging, or using battle techniques will grant you "style points" depending on the action, increasing the style gauge, letting you climb 5 levels of style.

  []Getting hit will cause a big drop in style, and the style gauge will rapidly drain after not hitting enemies (delay depends on the level)

  []The amount of style points you gain depends on several factors, like dmg, limit break gain, how much you repeat the same attacks, how many enemies you hit, etc.

  []Only hits by Clive and Torgal affect the counter/gauge, so, for example, attacks that Jill hits don't affect it.

  []When you get to the max level (Sinner), every hit gives you two buffs: an increased cooldown speed, and Clive enters a berserker mode (limit-break like mod usually achieved with the berserker ring)

  Config:

  • []By default, the mod places the counter on the top right of the screen, and hides the "battle score" ui you can see in the training or arcade mode. You can unhide it and place the counter on the bottom right if you prefer

    []It's possible to turn off the buffs you get at max rank

    []You can add two extra style ranks (SS & SSS)

    []You can change the style points factor, to get more or less points if you want to make it easier/harder

    []You can turn on "Must style" mode, so enemies don't take damage (reduced to 1) unless you are in max style rank.

    []Config the minimum rank for must style mode (keep at -1 for max rank)

    []You can rename all ranks however you'd like

  Notes:
  • []It is possible that this mod will not work if you don't have the "Rising Tide" DLC. If you have issues with it, let me know, and I'll see if it can be fixed

    []The counter only applies when playing as Clive. Little Joshua and Ifrit don't use it.

    []This is a really complicated mod, using a bunch of internal functions and structures. While I tested it a bit with young clive and adult clive, across a bunch of missions, its completely possible that it can break some stuff, so let me know if you have issues.

    []The "berserker mode" buff in the final rank only activates once you unlock the limit break skill.

    []You might get some weird behaviour for the cooldowns on max level if you use the Escapment Bit item.

  • Tested only in English, but it should work in all languages
