UPDATED - Soft Retro Anime Reshade (2 versions)

These are two Reshade presets that turn Fields of Mistria into even more of a soft retro anime style. I recommend downloading both and seeing which one you vibe with most.

Also highly recommend the following mods to pair with it for the FULL 90s anime retro style look:

My personal favourite and one I use is the Less Bloom one. Hope you enjoy :)

To install, go to https://reshade.me/ and follow the directions to install Reshade and pick Fields of Mistria from the Reshade menu. Once it's turned on for Fields of M, place the Reshade file into the folder where Reshade is installed to: Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Fields of Mistria

This lovely ReShade tutorial was provided in the comments by Lanvycillca (thank you! :))

1. Unzip downloaded files and put them in FoM folder.

2. Run Reshade installer you downloaded from Reshade's website, select FoM and proper rendering API etc.

3. In the step called "selecting effects to install", choose the unzipped file at the bottom "Choose a preset file. (ini) to install only the effects it uses".

4. Run FoM, press HOME to open Reshade menu.

5. You should be able to use the drop down menu to select the effect at the top of the menu

6. Enjoy the super unique effect

Known Issues: At the end of the day, the UI gets very washed out and bright. I've been trying to figure out how to fix this without losing the same glowing bloom effect on the overall app. The best workaround atm is to set your Reshade preset to a button you can toggle on and off, and when you know you're going to bed you can temporarily disable the Reshade. It's pretty easy:

1) Press Home to open Reshade menu

2) Settings (at the top of Reshade)

3) You'll see "Effect Toggle Key" set that to a button you don't mind pressing at the end of each day if the brightness of the UI bothers you. I personally use the "PageDown" key.
