MOMI Portrait Mapper

my lovely wife vi saw me painstakingly typing out and copying and pasting to make the sprite info for momi so she decided to make a little automated tool that spits out a JSON file for me! she gave me permission to share with yall, so i'm sharing. it saves sO MUCH TIME!!

REQUIREMENTS:

- python in order to run it

- a basic understanding of the way to make momi compatible portrait mods. the momi github page has all that information (and i will go over it very roughly)

- your preferred program that can make and read JSON files (we like notepad++ or Pulsar)

    HOW TO USE THIS LOVELY TOOL!

- ensure all of your edited portrait sprites are in their own folders (the folders should contain frames 0 and 1 of each different expression/animation) these can be named anything. if you used undertalemodtool and exported the sprites in their subdirectories, you don't need to change those, just use the ones you need.

- put all your edited folders into a new folder named "images" (no quotes)

- open momiPortraitMapper.py with python

- drag and drop the whole images folder into it and hit enter. (dont forget to click back onto the portraitmapper window or you'll just open the folder you have selected lol)

- momiPortraitMapper will export a JSON file with all the correct definition info for you right outside wherever that images folder is!

- don't forget to rename that JSON file to the name of your mod and put it in a folder named "sprites", and don't forget to make yourself a manifest JSON file according to momi's instructions as well.

- zip the images folder + sprites folder + manifest.json together and you have a lovely little momi compatible mod! in a fraction of the work!  yay~! everyone say thankyou vi we love you vi!

LIMITATIONS:

this tool was only made with portrait edits in mind, and can only create information on the file locations and animation states (true or false) for momi to read. it can't do any of the other info! if you know python feel free to go ham with this and change or add whatever you need. you have vi's permission + i don't know anything i'm just the messenger here ^_^
