Message Speed Settings

Description

Do you feel that dialogue types too slowly, but don't want to have to double-press to skip the typing entirely? This lets you freely configure how fast dialogue is written out, and how long it pauses for punctuation. The default setting is 1. 5x faster than the normal game, and it can be made fast enough to type instantly, or even slower than normal.

  Configuration

Once a save is loaded with this mod installed, a config file will be generated in this directory: %LOCALAPPDATA%/FieldsOfMistria/mod_data/message_speed_settings/ (Edits will take effect next time you launch the game.)

enabled: Set to true or false to enable/disable the mod's effect.

chars_per_tick: How many characters are typed each tick. The original game speed is 0. 5 characters per tick, and the mod defaults to 0. 75. Minimum value is 0. 1 (5x slower than normal), maximum value is 1000 (should type messages instantly, pauses aside).

wait_duration: The factor applied to pauses caused by punctuation. This is a multiplier, so 1 is normal duration, and the mod defaults to 0. 5 (halved duration). Can be set to 0 to reduce pauses to a single tick, or as high as 10.
