Faster Tree Essence Spawn

Description

Tired of going to farm wood and then when you cut down a tree, loot the wood you go to the next tree only for an essence to spawn back in spot of the last tree so you have to go back to grab it, slowing your wood farming? No more!

This mod will make essence morsels either spawn instantly when you cut down a tree or they will spawn closer to your character so you don't have to backtrack to grab them at the tree spot.

Installation instructions

- Create a "mods" folder into the main folder of the game if you don't have it already

- Download this mod and unzip the mod .zip file inside the "mods" folder inside the main game folder

- Open MOMI

- Select the game .exe inside the main game folder

- Install the mod

- Enjoy the mod ;)

Main features

The way the vanilla game works is that if you do any activity that uses your stamina you have a chance to spawn an essence, which is used to unlock perks. And basically every activity that can generate an essence spawns them instantly at your feet and you instantly loots it, but for some reason cutting down a tree have a delay for that essence spawn, because the game waits for the whole tree falling down animation to complete before it can generate an essence. But when you are farming wood with your upgraded axe, you only need 2 chops to fell down a tree, so the better your axe is the faster you will farm wood, and if you have a Move Speed infused armor set you will move even faster.

What usually happens when you reach this level of upgraded gear and tools, is that you have to wait after cutting down a tree and even after looting it completely because you have to see if an essence will spawn or not, because if it does and you just ran to the next tree you have to constantly backtrack to grab the annoying essence that spawned back there.

This mod will make one of two things (not both) happen when you cut down a tree:

- If an essence is generated, it will spawn instantly after cutting down a tree. The mod will ignore the delay that makes the game wait for the tree falling down animation to happen before spawning an essence.

- If an essence is generated, it will spawn with the same default delay after the tree falling down animation happens, BUT the essence will spawn near your character, therefore you will loot it instantly without the need to go back to grab the essence.

The only way to make the second situation not happen at all and only the first situation is by messing with some core mechanics of the game and I don't want to mess with that because this could potentially interfere with other mods. The way I made this mod is not the perfect way of dealing with this annoying delay spawn problem, but at least you don't need to backtrack for essences anymore.

This mod was made with the assistance of AI, it doesn't mean AI made everything (don't confuse AI-Assisted with AI-Generated). It basically helped speed up the mod making process. I tested it by playing with it for multiple hours in my own save and so far no problems or bugs have happened.
