Elf Ears

This is an updated version of the elf ears mod, compatible with the engine update of July 7, 2026, and therefore with the 1. 0 version of the game.

Mod was updated by KahnKoyote, and will be maintained by them. In the event that Kahn is unable to, ShugarBomb will continue it's upkeep.

So this mod adds elf ears to the game. It does this by replacing the base head sprite for the player character, which means that it's compatible with all skintones, accessories, and hair.

I'm looking at trying to get long hairs to work with it, the issue here is that I edited the base head that all the models use, specifically so the ears wont conflict with anything. The issue with long hair is that it takes up the same space, and there's no way for me to increase the size of the png file (that's the file that the game uses for graphics) without breaking the game. I would have to edit every png for every hair, and there's 48 each!!

There are three variants:

Choose ONE folder after extracting to install as they all replace the same files.

Installation:

1. Extract the file with your choice of extractor. I usually use WinRAR or 7zip. Once it has been extracted you'll have the three folders named above. Select ONE folder from these three. They all contain edits of the same files, so only one can be loaded into the game or you'll just be continuously overriding them all.

2. Copy the folder you have selected into your "mods" folder contained in your Fields of Mistria installation (by default  C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Fields of Mistria).

3. Run MOMI, check the box of the Elf Ears mod, then click the Install button.

4. Load up the game and check to see if it's working.

UPDATED FOR 1. 0. 4+ (New Engine)
