📋 About This Mod

this reshade adds quiet some realism by adding AO and a small color correction.Optionally supports the paid RTGI sharders from martysmods

this SDR reshade preset add some realism by adding AO and a small color correction.

Especially hair, and generally objects near other objects drop a realistic shadow to each others.

Feahters look better too. Clothes drop a slight shadow on the skin. Clouds shoulder plate drops one on cloud too.

1) You need some steps to make it work, especially if you use DLSS/TAA.

2)  Remove any previosu reshade first

3) downloda Reshade (with full add on support to eventually use optional addons described at the bottom)

4)  download the file and put:

FF7_REMAKE_SDR.ini

FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE\End\Binaries\Win64

4) download and install reshade, select DX11 , when asked for the shaders dont select anything, but in the box below search the reshade ini file you just copied:

FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE\End\Binaries\Win64\FF7_REMAKE_SDR.ini

let it install.

Start the game and than there are 2 things to set up before it starts working.

Go through the tutorial of reshade, when you are done and reshade is ready:

click on global preprocessor definitions:

set to 1 depth_input_is_reversed

than create a new key:

_MARTYSMODS_TAAU_SCALE

and set it to:

_MARTYSMODS_TAAU_SCALE -> DLSS_QUALITY

or set it to:

for even better quality (DLAA)

or DLSS_BALANCED should work too.

save and now you are done. If it gives a compiling error, you set the last part wrong, the new key data.(DLSS_QUTY instead of DLSS_QUALITY f.e.)

If the whole image shimmers, you probably set the wrong variable and not _MARTYSMODS_TAAU_SCALE so it does not work. (f.e. MARTYMODS_TAAU_SCLE instead of _MARTYSMODS_TAAU_SCALE)

Start the reshade performance mode and restart the game.

If you use the immerse pro version of my preset:

- you can not enable performance mode in reshade, as that shaders don't compile in the performance version, but i never saw a performance difference anyways.

- with the DLSS upgrade mod, you best disable all post processing there including exposure control, its hadled by reshade in the immerse pro version:

You can toggle AO wit F10, to see what it does.

Like always, in the UI and in videos, you have to toggle AO off or you will see some kind of artefacts.

OPTIONAL ADDONS (add the -dx11 flag to your steam start parameters):

Luma - DLSS Upscaling Mod (DX11 Only)

it requires DX11 as launch parameter but will upgrade DLSS to transformer with better picture clarity (can not be combined with the dithering mod)

UVER 3dmigito Hair Dithering remove mod (DX11 Only)

it requires DX11 as launch parameter but will solve the graini ha
