What is RPGModder?

RPGModder installs, orders, analyzes, and deploys RPG Maker mods while protecting the game from incomplete or invalid changes. Version 2. 0 is a complete overhaul of the deployment engine, interface, conflict analysis, and recovery workflow.

  []Safer packages and downloads: Rejects unsafe manifest paths and invalid mod IDs, isolates downloads, and enforces size and transport checks.[/]

  Choose the correct download

  • []Windows x64: Download the Windows Main File and run

    RPGModder.exe.[/]

    []Linux x64: Download the Linux Main File and run

    packaging/linux/install.shfor per-user desktop integration, or launch

    ./RPGModderdirectly.[/]

    The two Main Files are alternative platform builds. You only need the one for your operating system.

    Quick start

    • []Extract the package to a writable directory.[/]

      []Launch RPGModder and select or scan for your RPG Maker game.[/]

      []Install a mod from a ZIP, folder, or Nexus Mods.[/]

      []Enable the mods you want and arrange their load order.[/]

      []Review any conflicts, then select Apply Changes.[/]

      []Launch the game from RPGModder or normally.[/]

      Upgrading from RPGModder 1.x

      • []Close the game and every running RPGModder instance.[/]

        []Keep the existing

        ModManager_Backups, and profile files in place.[/]

        []Replace the old application files with the 2. 0 build.[/]

        []Launch RPGModder and load each previously managed game once.[/]

        []Wait for migration to finish, then confirm the recovered mods and profiles before deploying.[/]

        Migration is resumable and non-destructive. RPGModder copies legacy data into the new per-game

        .rpgmodderworkspace and leaves the original legacy files untouched. Do not manually move or delete those folders before the first successful 2. 0 launch.

        Install Secret Service and XDG command-line support before using desktop integration:

          The current Linux UI uses the X11 backend, so a Wayland-only session requires XWayland. Windows games on Linux must have a detectable Steam AppID so RPGModder can launch them through Steam/Proton; RPGModder does not guess Wine prefixes.

          Nexus Mods integration

          RPGModder supports Nexus SSO, in-app browsing, downloads, update checks, and

          nxm://Mod Manager Download links. Register the protocol from Settings if it was not registered during installation.

          Nexus API credentials are stored with Windows DPAPI or the Linux desktop Secret Service. RPGModder does not intentionally fall back to plaintext credential storage.
