DESCRIPTION

Termina Leveling System adds a traditional Level and EXP progression system to Fear & Hunger 2: Termina.

The original game has no conventional character leveling system, so this mod introduces one while trying to preserve Termina's survival-focused progression and balance.

Characters start at Level 1 and can reach Level 21. Defeating enemies grants EXP based on the difficulty of the encounter. Since most enemies in Termina are finite and do not respawn, EXP rewards have been individually balanced around each encounter rather than being designed around grinding.

Your current Level and EXP progress are displayed directly in the character menu.

  STAT GROWTH

  Each level gained provides:

  • []+2 Maximum Body / HP[/]

    []+2 Maximum Mind / MP[/]

    []+1 Attack[/]

    []+1 Defense[/]

    []+1 Magic Attack[/]

    []+1 Magic Defense[/]

    []+1 Agility every 2 levels

    Luck is unchanged[/]

    The bonuses are intentionally kept relatively small so leveling improves your characters without completely replacing Termina's existing equipment, skills and resource management systems.

    EXP BALANCE

    EXP values are manually assigned to encounters.

    Early enemies provide relatively small amounts of EXP, while dangerous enemies, optional encounters and powerful Moonscorched enemies provide considerably larger rewards.

    The system is designed around the fact that Fear & Hunger 2: Termina does not have infinitely respawning enemies. Reaching the highest levels therefore requires exploration and taking on more difficult encounters rather than repeatedly farming the same enemy.

    Some endgame encounters provide little or no useful progression because Level 21 is intended to be achievable through the main body of the game rather than requiring the player to defeat the final boss first.

    INSTALLATION

      []Add FHT_LevelSystem to the plugin list and make sure it is enabled with:

        This is the first public version of the mod.

        Balance may be adjusted in future versions based on testing and player feedback.

        If you encounter an enemy that gives no EXP, an incorrect amount of EXP, or any issues with character stats, please report the encounter and character used.
