📋 About This Mod
The default combat and stealth aids can feel distracting, intrusive, or cheat-like. This package combines three separate mods that remove or rebalance some of the game’s cheesier mechanics.
Description
This package contains three features that can be enabled separately, although they are designed to work best together. The titles are self-explanatory, but the rationale behind each is explained below.
1. Remove enemy icons from the minimap
Minimap icons can be distracting, constantly pulling your attention away from combat and reducing immersion.
The only other mod that addresses this comes bundled with numerous additional features.
2. Remove player x-ray vision
This removes the enemy outlines visible through walls after camera-tagging them.
Always knowing exactly where to look and aim feels cheesy. You are playing as Ajay, not Superman.
The overhead camera markers remain visible as a compromise:

[]They preserve the game’s intended stealth system. If you want them removed entirely, simply disable camera tagging in the game’s settings. [/]
[]They are only a minor aid. Nearby enemies can still be heard, so retaining the markers is less excessive than seeing entire bodies through walls.
This builds upon the second mod. Camera-tag markers remain visible while you are undetected but disappear once an enemy spots you.
The stealth system remains intact, while open combat becomes more immersive.
Installation instructions
1. Download and install the FarCry 4 Mod Installer
2. Unzip the mods into the correct Mod Installer folder: /ModifiedFilesFC4
3. Start the Mod Installer, find the mods under the "Removals" tab, and install them.
Final notes
I have not experienced any issues in my current playthrough, coupled with a bunch of other mods.
But use common sense: if another mod touches on the same thing, then there may be conflicts.
