Genealogy of China

Currently supports Simplified Chinese, Japanese, and English. Genealogy originated during the Shang and Zhou dynasties, with the Western Zhou forming a system of lineage records through collateral lines. From the Wei, Jin to Tang dynasties, official genealogies were compiled due to the prominence of aristocratic clans, serving as a basis for official appointments and marriage alliances; during the Song dynasty, with the rise of the imperial examination system, its political function gradually weakened. In the Ming and Qing dynasties, private genealogies experienced a revival, with content increasingly reflecting a comprehensive view of family life. This cultural collection includes 1,275 Chinese surnames, 6,625 male names, and 3,000 female names. The naming rules are based on generational names and historical personal names, so it is essentially different from official Eastern cultural collections. More names will continue to be added, with an estimated total of 10,000 names. The collection also incidentally includes all Chinese historical place names and country names (including those from mythological times). Not claiming it's exhaustive, there are 9,117 place names and 625 country names. However, some of the place and country names include modern elements, which may feel inconsistent during gameplay; if players request it, deletions will be made in the next version. That's about it.
