V.A.T.S. - Vault Accelerated Time System

Description

V. A. T. S. (Vault Accelerated Time System) is a speed mod for Fallout Shelter on Steam. Hold or toggle hotkeys to accelerate all vault timers — production, training, pregnancies, wasteland exploration, and crafting. Release the key and everything instantly returns to normal speed. No save files are touched. The mod only affects the vault you're currently playing.

Installation instructions

 1. Download and install https://github.com/BepInEx/BepInEx/releases/tag/v5. 4. 23. 2 into your Fallout Shelter game

folder if you haven't already.

2. Extract the zip so VATS.dll ends up at: BepInEx/plugins/VATS/VATS.dll

3. Launch the game. Done.

Main features

 - Two speed tiers: Hold Ctrl for 10x, hold Ctrl+Shift for 50x

- Toggle mode: press Ctrl+Alt or Shift+Alt to lock speed on/off without holding keys

- Speeds up all game timers at once — production, training, pregnancies, exploration, crafting                         

 - Incident auto-pause: speed resets to Vanilla when Raiders, Deathclaws, or fires attack. Hold keys capped at 2x during incidents               - Mysterious Stranger detection: boost fully pauses so you never miss him

 - Elapsed time display: see how much game time has passed while boosted

- Visual static overlay with Pip-Boy green multiplier label so you always know when it's on

- Animations scale separately so the vault still looks alive and playable

- Automatically resets when you release the key, alt-tab, pause, or quit

- Does not modify save data — purely runtime, zero risk to your vault

- Only active inside a loaded vault other save slots are unaffected

 - All hotkeys, multipliers, and overlay opacity are fully configurable

- Delete the config file at any time to reset to defaults
