The RL-3 Personality Chip

Update 098 - bots ignore friendly fire. protectrons properly armed. You have expert knowledge in the field of Artificial Intelligence. This gives you the ability to install personality enhancement modules into robots you repair with your Robco Certified robot repair skills. The RL-3 Personality Chip mod will allow you to obtain a \"personality chip\" from the robot companion Sergeant RL-3, and install it into other robots that you repair with RobCo Certification. This will give the robot the voice and behavior of RL-3, including a \"Storage Module\" and (minor) tactics control. The chip can be found on RL-3\'s dead body, or you can give it to yourself via the console with the following base id: 854bb If you don\'t want to wait to level up to get this perk, use player.addperk with a base id of: 854ba This mod simply gives you a third choice when repairing robots, if you have the RL-3 chip in your possession. This third option will both repair the bot and install the RL-3 personality chip, removing it from your inventory. It cannot be removed without destroying the bot, at which time it can be found on its \"corpse\". Note: Currently, if you repair a bot that is carrying the RL-3 chip, the chip will be permanently deleted from the game. Note: Dialog with a rebuilt RL-3 is almost identical to dialog with the original. The differences, I believe, are minor (and mostly intentional). Get TalkieToaster\'s RobCo Certification here: http://fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=712 INSTALLATION The archive contains two .esp files (aside from the readme): rl3chip.esp and rl3chipunisntall.esp. The un-installer is optional. Drop these files into your Data folder. Activate just the rl3chip.esp in your mod manager to start the mod. UN-INSTALLATION The mod comes with an automated un-installer - rl3chipuninstall.esp, included in the archive. Put this file in your Data folder (if it\'s not already there) and activate it along with the original rl3chip.esp and the next time you load a savegame it will offer to remove the mod for you. After it tells you it has removed the mod, re-save your game and quit. You can then safely deactivate the mod without corrupting this savegame. Be sure to deactivate both rl3chip.esp and rl3chipuninstall.esp after saving and quitting! COMPATIBILTY This mod requires TalkieToaster\'s Robco Robot repair perk to run. This mod modifies RL-3\'s stock script to add the Personality Chip into his \"corpse\" when he dies. Another mod that modifies this script may conflict.
