📋 About This Mod
Three unique laser weapons which reload/recharge off of your bodily radiation rather than from standard ammunition.
Three unique laser weapons (pistol, rifle, gatling) which reload/recharge off of your bodily radiation rather than from standard ammunition. This should be considered Beta, mostly due to balance issues (see the issues note at the bottom). Two versions of this mod are available: the non-FOSE version does not have gatling output level control. The damage for each \"Human Battery\" modified weapon is slightly upgraded from the standard. Needs balance feed-back. Gatling: If you are running the FOSE version of the mod you will be presented with a menu when the gatling is equipped, allowing you to select the approximate rads/sec you would like the gun to draw out of you. The greater the draw, the more damage the weapon will do (see note below). The gatling heats up as it is used. It has a maximum 600 rads constant-use limit before it requires a cool-down or it will explode like a tiny nuke in your face (actually at your feet - might change this later). Cool-downs happen at 50 rads/sec. Keep this in mind, particularly when you\'re firing away at 100 rads/sec. Note: I could find no way to increase weapon damage dynamically, so I increased both the Critical Hit Chance and the Critical Hit Damage as the weapon increases in power output. Not perfect, but the only solution I could come up with (I\'m open to suggestions). This was where I needed FOSE. And where the balance probably needs tweaked. Pistol and Rifle: The pistol and rifle will hold 50 charges each, after which you will automatically reload 50 rads from your bodily radiation, refilling the weapon with 50 shots (or whatever you have if it\'s less than 50 rads). When you equip the rifle or pistol it will automatically remove 50 rads (max) from your bodily radiation and use them to \"charge\" the weapon 50 shots. Note: The method I used to get this to work makes it impossible to determine the charge left in one of these weapons once you\'ve unequipped it. The charge remains, however, and next time you equip the weapon it will draw, rather than 50 rads, the smaller amount it needs to recharge the weapon to a total of 50, given how much was left in it the last time you unequipped it. Obtaining the Weapons: The cheap way: base ids are gatling: EAC, rifle: 1C05, pistol: 1C04 The expensive way: Buy them from Moira in Megaton. INSTALLATION Archive contains two .esp files, extract the one you want to use into your Data folder. HumanBatteryEnergyWeapons.esp - the regular version HumanBatteryEnergyWeapons_noFOSE.esp - the No FOSE version (no gatling level control) You only need one of these files! Select the mod file with FOMM or similar program. UN-INSTALLATION Un-check the mod in FOMM (or whatever). Remove the file from your Data folder (optional). COMPATIBILITY/ISSUES NOTE: This is a BETA, although it appears to work fine I have not tested this for balance in-game. I have a feeling the gatling is probably way overpowered
