Dart Gun Patch - FWE.esp

What it does:

FWE (Fallout 3 Wanderer's Edition) is a major fallout 3 mod that has grown to incorporate many smaller mod projects. One of these is called Better Living Through Chems which adds loads of extra chems to the game, and also allows you to craft injectable syringes and dart guns to poison enemies with.

The dart gun is particularly interesting because it allows you to use the Dart Gun as a ranged stealth weapon to poison NPCs and creatures with various effects, such as Paralyzing them with Thorazine, or sending them into a Rage so that they attack their own allies with Meth. To use the dart gun, you need to drop it and pick it up again with at least 3 doses of the Chem you want to use in your inventory. The standard Dart Gun is then replaced with the appropriate Chem version and never runs out of Chems until the weapon eventually breaks - initial condition is dependent on your repair skill.

Unfortunately, in the current FWE version of the mod, the Dart Gun is broken, because the developers forgot to add the pickup script to the standard Dart Gun, meaning that it is impossible to acquire the Chem versions of the dart gun without using console commands. This mod simply fixes the issue by adding the relevant script to the standard Dart Gun.

Note that there have been subsequent releases of BLTC since the version included with FWE that further extra chems and other improvements, etc. Unfortunately there will probably never be another release of FWE to include those now, and I don't yet have the modding expertise to create a broader patch between FWE and the most recent version of BLTC. Maybe someday...

Installation:

Extract the archive to your Fallout 3 installation directory or install using Vortex (recommended)

Make sure that the Dart Gun patch comes after the FO3 Wanderers Edition - Main File.esm master file or the game will crash  on startup due to the missing master. Also put the patch after the other FWE files in your load order.

Uninstallation:

Delete from your Fallout 3 installation folder or uninstall using Vortex
