📋 About This Mod
Have you ever played through Megaton, disappointed by all of the breaks in immersion and roleplaying opportunities? Did you want a mod which added all of this and more while staying immersive? This mod series aims to fix Fallout 3's story
(OLD) TTW version here
NEW MOD HERE: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/27103
This mod series will add and remove things from the base game in order to improve the story and player experience, to add more roleplaying options and lore to the game. Wish there was a little more of a response for killing Moriarty? Now there is added dialogue to show this change! Perhaps you want to justify the decision to nuke Megaton? Mr. Burke will give you one if you ask him point blank!
Everything the mod does:
-
[]Add a dialogue line where Gob thanks you for killing Moriarty as a new greeting.[/]
[]Add a dialogue choice where you ask “Where does the food in Megaton come from?” where the noodle stand lady will respond “Mostly hunting and trade. We sell what we can get our hands on, or make ourselves, like water.”[/]
[]Added dialogue for why Mr. Burke wants to blow up Megaton[/]
[]The Sheriffs house has a basement behind the house that serves as the town jail[/]
[]Nuke requires explosives of 50 to interact with[/]
[]Added dialogue with the Atom priest, explaining how the bomb hasn’t been detonated yet and why no one is scared of the bomb.[/]
[]Added piles of garbage near the ground, implying that stuff dropped in the town falls down to the middle.[/]
[]Added dialogue with Walter that explains Megatons water is extracted from the water which would normally flood the town, and originally the place was flooded but they managed to get a purifier running and sell/sold water in order to get money.[/]
[]Various dialogue changes for more neutrality (And thus, roleplaying opportunities) and consistency fixes. For example, I changed gob’s dialogue from “Let me think about it for a moment, my good man.” to “Let me think about it.” and other small changes with Gobs dialogue.[/]
[]Changed a bunch of dialogue options in Megaton about negotiating for caps to barter checks[/]
[]Tried to change/remove dialogue regarding Moriarty with Gob if Moriarty is dead. There’s a lot, so my mod probably isn't cohesive. Please let me know if you find anything :3[/]
[]Added a note in Moriarty’s terminal, explaining that he gets his alcohol from suppliers.[/]
Everything this mod does NOT do:
-
[]Make anyone unessential (Everyone already is)[/]
[]Add voiced dialogue (I'm always looking for voice actors!)[/]
[]Directly change anything about Megaton (No farms, no changed lore, everything is just expanded upon.)[/]
[]This mod now requires Point Lookout for the new alcohol Fermenter inside the Saloon, as Andy Stahl claims that Moriarty pisses in his stills (As pointed out by CarlZee)[/]
[]Added dialogue with Lucas Simms further elaborating on the reason they stayed at Megaton.[/]
[*]Edited dialogue with Mr. Burke explaining why
-
[]Make anyone unessential (Everyone already is)[/]
