Despite the Phoenix system\'s superior protection and weight compared to Combat armor only a limited number were commissioned before the project was scrapped due to the high production costs involved. With a hardness of 9. 3 on the mohs scale, it is one of the hardest materials known, behind cubic boron nitride and diamond. I don\'t want to spoil the encounter, so I\'ll just say your survival skills will be tested. Dev info: I used 2048 resoloution to bring out some of the fine detail, I\'m still learning as an artist and the texturing was drawn by mouse (I can\'t afford a stylus :\\ ) in photoshop, however, so please don\'t expect too much. In terms of lore and appearance I designed Ceramic armor to look fairly new and untouched, as a ceramic/glass it doesn\'t stain or corrode like most other armors in the wasteland, it looks battle scarred rather than weathered. It weighs the same as Combat armor but has the same protection DR as Power armor (boron carbide is used as tank armor mind you) heat and radiation resistant. The main downside is ceramic absorbs impacts by shattering - it\'s relatively fragile at 300hp, so it\'ll degrade pretty quickly and spare parts are very hard to find - unless you can figure out another way to fix ceramics ;).
