If you give Amata the 10mm Pistol and she ends up killing Officer Mack, she will leave the Vault if you bring it up when you are about to escape.
It makes sense that she'd need a whole lot less convincing to leave the Vault after she killed someone so I made it that no speech checks are required if she killed Officer Mack.
