X-01 Power Armor For Synths

Starting at level 39, some synths will wear Institute-painted X-01 power armor. You will also see a few X-01-clad synths patrolling The Institute.

There is a stand-alone version, which is also compatible with Power Armor to the People provided you do not use the Institute Power Armor mod. If you do, there is a version of this mod specifically designed to allow synths to use either Institute Power Armor or X-01.

This requires AWKCR to make sure everything is painted correctly. You can use AWKCR-R instead if you prefer.

A patch is available for Institute Heavy Weapons that allows these power armored synths to use an Institute Gatling Laser. This is not required if you are using the version that is compatible with Institute Power Armor in Power Armor to the People, as Power Armor to the People has its own patch for this.

Installation

Using a mod manager like Vortex is highly recommended. However, you can also just manually extract the zip file to your Data folder in your Fallout 4 installation path.

This is safe to install mid-playthrough, but you likely won't see synths in The Institute wearing the power armor if you've already been there.

Compatibility

This should be highly compatible. The only record it alters in the base game is the leveled list for synth spawns, so if you use a mod that changes that, you're going to have issues. Besides that, it's all brand new.
