Weapon Sounds Replacer - F4 Resound Project

So, this mod comes in two versions - Replacer and Patch. I recommend using the Patch, since the Replacer is lower quality than the original FO4RP

What they actually do:

1) Replacer (larger file size, no requirements) - repackages sounds from FO4RP into the vanilla structure, overriding vanilla sounds while trying to preserve the variety of the original FO4RP mod

2) Patch (smaller file size, requires FO4RP) - patches the original mod so that automatic fire uses a looping file, like in vanilla (in the original mod, each shot is processed separately, which causes a bug when firing in third person)

Note that if you use weapon mods with custom sounds, you can always match their volume to FO4RP in the in-game audio settings

Originally, this mod was made to repackage weapon sounds from the amazing FO4RP mod as a replacer, with the author’s permission. Now it has a second version that simply patches the original mod to eliminate the unstable third-person fire-rate issue caused by each shot being processed separately

After some time spent testing, I realized that fully replacing the vanilla sound structure is almost impossible - it’s a confusing mess, and many NPC weapons use the same sounds, which becomes very noticeable when weapon sounds differ a lot. I found a new solution: I made a patch for the original mod that replaces ONLY the player’s automatic fire sounds with sounds in a different format, so the fire rate does not change when firing in third person (it speeds up when entering ADS and slows down while crouching). The huge advantage of this approach is that all the other carefully designed variety from the main mod remains intact

The fire rate will still change anyway, because third person is broken in this game. Vanilla-style packaged automatic fire sounds merely allow this to be masked, the same way vanilla does. In fact, that was the main goal of my replacer
