Adds the WCCC Commonwealth Radio Station to your game and unlocks all the associated quests.
For almost 200 years, WCCC was a staple on the Boston area. Although through the decades it changed formats numerous times, from Classical Music, Hard Rock, Country, Dance, Oldies, and even All News, WCCC remained on the air and pumping out the music to the Commonwealth. That was until the day the bombs fell. Despite numerous actions and preparations taken to keep WCCC on the air after the apocalypse, WCCC went silent. Discover the hidden underground emergency studio complex of WCCC and restart this pillar of the community. Start your own radio station, decide what plays on your station, News, Music, Commercials and make WCCC Commonwealth Radio the "best damn station in the Commonwealth".
WCCC Commonwealth Radio is a mod that allows you the player to restart the WCCC transmitter and through a series of quests, acquire additional songs, commercials, and news stories all that can be played on your radio station. You get to be the PD/DJ (Program Director/Disc Jockey) of your own radio station. You decide what plays on YOUR AIRWAVES.
It always bothered me that the radio stations presented in Fallout 4 were so... bland and backwards. With a world that can hand out plasma rifles and laser pistols, no one can figure out how to have a bumper or a commercial with some spice or pzazz? This seeks to do more than your average radio station. In addition to the in game control over the songs and other things that are played on your station, the mod offers 3 different musical genres to pull from to give your station that special format you want, but can change with the flick of a switch (like any PD can). By default the mod offers: Rock-n-Roll format, EDM format, and your own custom format (Regee by default) which you can add in your own songs.
This is more than just a radio mod, as you play, and as you encounter merchants, and witness events, you will unlock new CARTS that can add to your radio station's content. It is best played on a brand new game, but can be played on an existing one, though many of the events will have already occurred and will need to be unlocked using the studio terminal.
HOW IT WORKS:
Through your adventures and speaking with merchants and witnessing certain events, you will unlock new CARTS which can be placed into the the WCCC Studio CART player and inject these Songs, Adverts and News into your personal radio station. Once placed into the CART Player the content goes into the available library for broadcast and will be played when selected by the station's Artificial Intelligence (named ARTI). To remove a cart from rotation or playing, just remove from the CART Player and store somewhere. (Nice rule of thumb is to never have CARTS leave the studio).
