Very Short Nights (and Very Long Days)

A very simple mod that makes the nights very short, and the days very long. Daytime now lasts 23. 5 hours in game time.

Sunset now begins at 11:40pm and ends at 11:50pm.

Sunrise now begins at midnight and ends at 12:10am.

(As standard, the sunset time is from 5pm to 9pm; sunrise is from 5am to 9am.)

This mod has TWO versions:

- No DLC - the only thing it requires is the vanilla Fallout 4 game.

- With DLC: Far Harbor & Nuka-World - support for the three regions

Mod Conflicts & Incompatibilities

This mod will probably conflict with any other mod that changes weather and/or climate.

Perks: Solar Powered & Night Person

This will not affect the Solar Powered and Night Person perks. Both perks depend on the time of day (6am/6pm), not the position of the sun in the sky.

But Why Do This?

- Personal preference - I much prefer exploring the Commonwealth in the daytime, and this mod is scratching that itch.

- Settlement building - is easier in the daytime.

- Xbox/PS4 players (and Survival mode, too) - can't access the console to change the time of day, or set the timescale to achieve a similar effect

Tech Details

All I’ve changed are a few Climate forms, using Creation Kit. I’ve tweaked the time sliders for “Sunrise Begin”, “Sunrise End”, “Sunset Begin”, and “Sunset End”.

In the “No DLC” version, just “DefaultClimate”.

In the “Commonwealth, Nuka-World and Far Harbor” version, “DefaultClimate”, “DLC03AcadiaClimate”, “DLC03FarHarborClimate”, and “DLC04DefaultClimate”.

No other settings were changed.
