Vault-Tec Advanced Jumpsuit

A big thanks to Nitronizer for allowing me to use the "Shadow Hexa" vault suit texture, which is part of his Proto Vault Suit texture pack.

Background

Just months before the world fell to nuclear war, Vault-Tec began experimenting with the idea of a greatly enhanced vault suit. This suit would improve the athleticism and dexterity of the wearer, giving him or her a greater chance of surviving the dangers of post-apocalyptic America. Additionally integrated into the suit would be a cloaking device for when hiding is the only option. All of this would be powered by solar-charged nanotechnology, completely eliminating the need for fusion cells or cores. Early trials were successful, but only a handful of prototype suits were produced before the bigwigs deemed the project too expensive. The prototypes were to forever lay in Vault-Tec research facilities, collecting dust.

Description

This mod adds the Vault-Tec Advanced Jumpsuit. While wearing the suit your movement and reload speeds are significantly increased, you can jump higher, and crouching will activate a powerful stealth field. Unlike legendary Chameleon armor pieces, the stealth field will remain active while moving and it grants you the sneak bonuses usually only provided by Stealth Boys. In general it's a perfect piece of clothing for infiltrator or ninja-type builds.

Like all vault suits, it can be upgraded at an armor workbench and armor pieces can be worn over it. To keep things fair however, the suit's effects will be disabled while wearing power armor (a fair price). The stats of the suit are identical to the standard vault suits, as are the upgrades.

Obtaining

A very short quest called "Stand and Deliver" must be completed in order to obtain the suit. It will begin when you load a savegame at level 15 or higher. After killing the bandit, loot the key from his body and use it to unlock the safe at his campsite. The suit will be inside.
