The LeMat Revolver

========== Description ==========

This mod adds the LeMat revolver to the Commonwealth. The LeMat is a curious weapon from the days of the American Civil war. Developed in New Orleans by a fellow named Jean Alexander LeMat in 1856, and later saw use in the Civil War by the Confederacy, mostly by officers. What sets the LeMat apart from the other revolvers of the time was that its arbor (the axle which the round cylinder rotates around) pulled double-duty as a shotgun barrel, meaning you essentially had TEN shots with the blighter: 9 in the cylinder and 1 more in the shotgun barrel.

The LeMat is highly customizable, with:

• []4 recievers (5 for the shotgun LeMat) []4 barrels in two styles, bringing the total to 8 []3 reflex sights []2 short-range scopes []2 grips []3 ammo types for the pistol and 6 for the shotgun []Little grip decorations that grant special effects []3 trigger guard styles.

By default the LeMat uses . 44 ammo and has 9 shots, but it can be switched to use the underbarrel at a weapons workbench, via one of the Shotgun receivers. Fitting one of the Shotgun barrels to the LeMat will make it fire from the underbarrel rather than the main one, and those barrels are meant to be used with the Shotgun receivers so things look right (but of course there's no actual restriction on which receiver the barrels can go on).

The LeMat also has a custom ammo type that it can be modded to use, which are minié rounds. These can be made at a chem lab under the LeMat Ammo category and at least one is required in order to switch the LeMat to them. The minié rounds are devastating things, dealing more critical damage and have a better chance at crippling limbs.

The LeMat is also level-listed via script for max compatibility, and will start turning up around level 20.

The mod comes with custom sounds, a custom muzzle flash and textures, with meshes done by 500slr. I converted the meshes, tidied 'em up, UV mapped 'em and got everything working in game (with a good deal of struggle). Without 500slr's work, this wouldn't be here today. The short-range scopes and one reflex sight also use a crosshair texture from henkspamadres's See-Through Scopes Framework (which isn't required for this mod).

Add in the Carbine version of the LeMat. Everything is there for it internally, but has been dummied out since it didn't work very well and may end up requiring custom animations.

Add glow sights

Add the Classic LeMat, which will take more after the original revolver in terms of its appearance.
